The Perfect Peel Aftercare

Following your Perfect Peel Aftercare

Generally AVOID sun exposure, excessive sweating, sauna or heavy exercise during the peel process. No make up until day 3.

Avoid using at home LED red light for the first 48 hours.

Some irritation and discomfort is considered normal. To alleviate stinging, discomfort or itching apply a cold compress against the irritated area, take pain relief and/or antihistamine if required.

Day of Treatment (Day 1)

-The area will feel tight and may appear darker.

-The solution should remain on the skin for AT LEAST 6 hours. During this time DO NOT WASH, TOUCH OR RUB.

-No make up today.

-In the evening (at least 6 hours later) wash the face with WATER ONLY and pat dry. Use the first post peel towelette from the after care kit to vigorously wipe the area. Let this dry thoroughly. Please note, this can mildly sting or irritate, which is normal but the towelette is an essential part of the peeling process.

Day 2

DO NOTHING to your skin in the morning.

-No make up or skincare today.

-In the evening wash the face with WATER ONLY and pat dry. Use the second post peel towelette from the after care kit to vigorously wipe the area. Let this dry thoroughly.

Day 3-5

-Peeling generally begins on day 3. You may use make up from this day if desired.

-Gently wash (do not scrub) and pat dry the treated area morning and night.

-After peeling begins, apply the Perfect Peel Moisturiser from the aftercare kit to the new skin of the peeling areas THREE TIMES PER DAY to control the peeling and relief tightness/irritation.

-DO NOT rub, pick or pull on the peeling skin, let the peeling occur naturally. Rubbing, picking or pulling may cause scarring and pigmentation changes. Dead skin can be trimmed with small scissors.

-A minimum SPF30 should be applied if there is sun exposure.

Day 6-10

-The peeling process is generally complete but can vary from person to person. Mild sloughing may still be occurring in some areas.

-You may resume your normal skincare products unless otherwise advised by Dr Rebecca. Use a test dot first to check tolerability. If the treated area becomes or remains irritated, wait until the sensitivity subsides.

-A minimum of SPF30 should be used to protect the skin.

-Final results are most apparent after day 28.
